Thomas Berdel, was born in Feldkirch, Austria.
After his ordinary compulsory education he passed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker.
Aside from it he studied natural science and occupied himself intensly with computers and data processing activities.
Later on he was working successful in the fields of art, photography, design and graphic arts.
In times of electronic communication and virtual worlds, art work or research can’t be only a question of technique or material.
Reality in the classical sense doesn’t exist anymore. We are existing in our own reality which is reflected in our images, whatever origin it may have. The creation of images, painting in its widest sense, no matter which technique or materials are used, is always the expression of creative thoughts and artistic forms. Based on this point of view, to solve problems of creation, composition, light and color, with the sensitive expressivness of the artist, we may call such a product
a piece of art.
